  • Are these Motorsport Australia approved / legal in racing?

    Yes these are manufactured to Motorsport Australia Specifications. Schedule H 1:1.  HAND-HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: (i) Each hand-held fire extinguisher shall be secured using a metal bracket attached to the automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and must remain restrained under a deceleration or acceleration of 25G ; and (ii) must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) without the aid of tools. Our brackets are made out Steel and they are supplied with M5 High Tensile Nuts and Bolts and are designed to be attached to the vehicle via the factory High Tensile Factory bolts. 

  • Are these hard to install?

    No these are very easy to install. They can be installed with simple hand tools in only minutes. We provide detailed video instructions for most of our brackets too.

  • Do these cause any damage to the vehicle?

    No not at all. These are all designed to be easily installed and easily removed if the vehicle is sold later on.

  • My model isn't listed, can you make one?

    Often, yes. We're always adding new models. Our workshop is based in Somerville, VIC, about 50km from Melbourne's CBD, where we measure the vehicle in person and develop a bracket to suit. Unfortunately we're not able to design new brackets from photos alone, so we do need access to the vehicle to measure it properly.

    If you're not based in Victoria, a good option is to see if you know someone with the same model who's nearby and could bring their car in for us to measure. Some customers have organised this through car clubs or owner groups.

Not made to fit the offset 200 series Land Cruiser seat mounts

Basically made flat and you have to tighten the seat down firmly to flatten the bracket, then it sits so low on the outer edge that the floor mat cannot be removed without bending the mount a lot. Did not meet expectations for the price.

Seat clearance

Once installed, the seat cannot be fully moved forward due to clearance issue (bottom of seat hit top of fire extinguisher), could be because of electric seat with motor. If bracket is extended towards front of the car and folds down approx 90 degrees would be better.

Gave 2 stars as I still think 🤔 it’s abit flimsy, it’s my view if it had been made abit more robust you would get 5 stars every time. Bit wider , bit thicker ?? I’m not about to say m an engineer but I’m coming from an off the street normal guy . If it’s harsh I’m sorry but my view

Fire Extinguisher Bracket

The bracket is well made with a quality finish. Was reasonably easy to fit with one tool. However i encounter a small problem, I have Bed Rock floor liners in my Landcruiser. On the drivers side the bracket interferes with the liner and does not allow the bracket to fit without cutting the liner. However I decided to fit it the passenger with a better result.
