Our brackets are designed for 1kg metal cage extinguishers, roughly 80mm x 305mm. They won't suit plastic clip-mount units. If you're using your own, it needs to be a metal-strapped, cage-style unit in that size range, send us the dimensions if you're unsure.Need more than 1kg on board? Install two brackets, one on the driver's side and one on the passenger side. Some motorsport categories require a 2kg minimum, and two 1kg units may count toward that, but always check your event regs to confirm what applies to you.

No not at all. These are all designed to be easily installed and easily removed if the vehicle is sold later on.

No these are very easy to install. They can be installed with simple hand tools in only minutes. We provide detailed video instructions for most of our brackets too.

Yes these are manufactured to Motorsport Australia Specifications Schedule H 1:1.  HAND-HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: (i) Each hand-held fire extinguisher shall be secured using a metal bracket attached to the automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and must remain restrained under a deceleration or acceleration of 25G ; and (ii) must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) without the aid of tools. Our brackets are made out Steel and they are supplied with M5 High Tensile Nuts and Bolts and are designed to be attached to the vehicle via the factory High Tensile Factory bolts. 

Often, yes. We're always adding new models. Our workshop is based in Somerville, VIC, about 50km from Melbourne's CBD, where we measure the vehicle in person and develop a bracket to suit. Unfortunately we're not able to design new brackets from photos alone, so we do need access to the vehicle to measure it properly.

If you're not based in Victoria, a good option is to see if you know someone with the same model who's nearby and could bring their car in for us to measure. Some customers have organised this through car clubs or owner groups.

Yes, easily. It unbolts as simply as it went in, with no marks or damage left behind. That's why it works well for lease, fleet, and resale vehicles.

The bracket mounts under the seat using factory points and is designed not to interfere with seat function. On some models it may slightly limit full seat travel, which is noted on the product page where it applies. It does not tie into airbag systems.

No. Brackets bolt onto your existing factory seat-rail mounting points. Nothing is drilled or cut, so there's no permanent modification and it comes straight out if you sell the car.

For most vehicles, just basic hand tools. Some models need a specific bit (for example, an M10 triple-square for certain Audis) — the product page and install guide list exactly what your model requires.

No. Most brackets go in with basic hand tools in about 5 minutes. There's no drilling and no modification, and we provide video instructions for most models.
