  • Are these Motorsport Australia approved / legal in racing?

    Yes these are manufactured to Motorsport Australia Specifications. Schedule H 1:1.  HAND-HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHERS: (i) Each hand-held fire extinguisher shall be secured using a metal bracket attached to the automobile with only high tensile bolts or equivalent fasteners and must remain restrained under a deceleration or acceleration of 25G ; and (ii) must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) without the aid of tools. Our brackets are made out Steel and they are supplied with M5 High Tensile Nuts and Bolts and are designed to be attached to the vehicle via the factory High Tensile Factory bolts. 

  • Are these hard to install?

    No these are very easy to install. They can be installed with simple hand tools in only minutes. We provide detailed video instructions for most of our brackets too.

  • Do these cause any damage to the vehicle?

    No not at all. These are all designed to be easily installed and easily removed if the vehicle is sold later on.

  • My model isn't listed, can you make one?

    Often, yes. We're always adding new models. Our workshop is based in Somerville, VIC, about 50km from Melbourne's CBD, where we measure the vehicle in person and develop a bracket to suit. Unfortunately we're not able to design new brackets from photos alone, so we do need access to the vehicle to measure it properly.

    If you're not based in Victoria, a good option is to see if you know someone with the same model who's nearby and could bring their car in for us to measure. Some customers have organised this through car clubs or owner groups.

    Bought a bracket for my 1992 Nissan 180sx, and it's mint! Fits well, functions as it should, and the finish is premium!

    Freight was quick and the packaging was also really nice, may seem silly but when your product arrives in a nice, purpose made package, it ads a nice touch!

    First off let me say that Russel went above and beyond to sort out a minor issue with delivery of the fire extinguisher. Good companies fix the issues, Great companies go that little bit further.

    As for the bracket, Fitted it with no problems, looks good. Quality is brilliant, It's tucked up out the way but easy accessible. I highly recommend this product and this company.

    It’s a good product, apart from the fact that you would need to be 6ft for the seat adjuster back and forth to miss the actual fire extinguisher, my handle sits directly centre on the fire extinguisher which causes the seat to not lock in properly and moves a little bit but apart from that it’s fine

    Initially worried about the fire extinguisher interfering with the seat adjust lever, but after installation there's plenty of room at any adjustment

    This is the second bracket I've purchased from KAP industries and I'll definitely be buying another one if I get another car
